Elected Members

Mark Alexander

Has extensive experience in South African Olympic sport and has served in various positions since 1995. Alexander is also deputy president of the South African Rugby Union, managing director at Advocate Solution (Pty) Ltd and an Exectuvie Director at Simeka Business Solutions Group.

Mubarak Mohamed

Received the Premier’s award for best sporting administrator in Kwazulu-Natal for 2006. Has served the South African Football Association at national executive level for 10 years. Mohamed is the Director of SA Soccer Pty Ltd and the Director of the FIFA World Cup 2010. Is also the chairman of the World Cup 2010 Budget Committee.

Jace Naidoo

Is currently president of Swimming South Africa. He has served on a number of positions of the national Executive of SSA since 1999. Was first elected to the SASCOC Board in 2007 and was re-elected in 2009.

Kobus Marais

The Democratic Alliance’s spokesperson on Finance and on all issues relating to the Disabled. Served on the Exco of the Boland Sport Council (Disability Sport) and also the SASCOC board for Disability Sport. Was a SASCOC Board member with the 2008 Paralympic team. was president of DISSA (Disability Sport South Africa) between 2005 and 2007.
