In February and March, the Proteas will tour New Zealand for the first time since 2004. While on tour they will play a series of T20, one-day and Test fixtures in a stay of almost 50 days.

After coming a poor second in the first meeting, the Proteas redeemed themselves with a 8 wicket victory in Hamilton. The third and deciding T20 match will be on the 22nd February in Eden Park.
