A team of four will represent South Africa at this year’s World Jump Rope Championships and a training camp thereafter.

The world championships will take place in Orlando, United States starting on Friday and ending 10 June.

That will be followed by a training camp on 8-9 July at the University of Central Florida.

Flying the flag for South Africa are youngster Amanda Msongelwa, Mbali Nyundu, Sonopo Tshilwane and Keolegobile Mokolopo.

They’ll take part in the 23-29, 19-22, 16 and younger and 30+ years age group respectively.

Apart from competing, Mokolopo will also act as head coach for the team.

Nyundu and Msongelwa will also take part in the team events at World Championships. Three of the team members represent Mpumalanga with Tshilwane from Free State.
