They will be accompanied by national head coach Stewart Carson.

The draw for the Lagos International has been published and in the men’s singles Vijayanath will meet qualifier No5 whilst top-seeded De Villiers will meet Maria from Nigeria (WR 511) in the first round.

Viljoen and Malan (seeded second) should face the Italian pair of Greco and Madaloni from Italy (WR 70 and first seeded) in the finals of the men’s doubles. The Italians have mainly played the South American circuit and will be a good test for the South Africans.

Fry and Le Grange will have to overcome the Nigerian pair of Azeez and Atolagbe if they want to play in the finals of the women’s doubles. Malan and Fry (second seeds in the mixed doubles) and currently ranked number 175 in the world, should face the first seeded Nigerians Abah and Atolagbe (WR 174) in the finals of the mixed doubles, if all goes according to the seeding.

Meanwhile the seeding for the Mauritius International has also been published: De Villiers is seeded third in the women’s singles, Viljoen and Malan second in the men’s doubles, De Villiers and Grace Daniels from Nigeria second in the women’s doubles and Malan and Fry second in the mixed doubles.
