Paralympian KG wins yet another award

Kgothatso Montjane, South Africa’s number one women’s wheelchair tennis player, was crowned Sportswoman of the Year with a disability at the Spar G Sport Awards in Johannesburg this week. The Spar G Sports Awards are an annual event aimed at celebrating and honouring South African women in sport.

It was an elated Montjane who claimed the title for the second time in a week. She was also named the SA Sportswoman of the year with a disability at the recent SA Sports Awards, while earlier this year Montjane was honoured at the Gauteng Sports Awards as Sportswoman of the Year with a disability.

Paralympian Montjane can boast a successful year in 2013. She won three significant SA sporting awards and has 33 titles to date on the international wheelchair tennis tour. Montjane says: ÔÇ£I believe it comes down to hard work, dedication and the support I receive from my sponsor, Airports Company South Africa, my family and the Federation.ÔÇØ
