Team South Africa have arrived safely in London ahead of the 2012 London Olympics.

Jetting in on flight SAA 234, the team exited the aeroplane named Siyanqoba and brilliantly decked out in the design of young Adri le Roux.

Some of then were then taken by luxury bus to the official Olympic village in Stratford which will be their home until the Games end on August 12. Others moved to a pre-Games holding camp in West London.

The team will now spend the next few days settling down in the village with the ever capable Project Manager Ezera Tshabangu and Chef de Mission Patience Shikwambana and fine-tune their training preparations before the biggest test of their sporting careers.

Still to join the team are the bulk of the swimming squad, some European based athletes and cyclists as well as the team’s two canoeists.
